What you should know about Reconnect Mental Health Services
Reconnect began in 1981 as a project to serve discharged psychiatric patients in Etobicoke, following the closure of Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital in 1979. We are proud of the services we provide and pleased to offer a wide range of diverse community based programs of support services that include Case Management, Assertive Community Support and group programs.Our staff includes the Executive Director, Program Directors and Managers, Administrative Support Staff, and a multidisciplinary staff team. Reconnect is governed by a Board of Directors which includes consumers, and other interested community members.Over the years, mental health and business professionals, family members, Reconnect has expanded significantly. A Community based Day Treatment program, funded by the Community Mental Health Branch of the Ministry of Health, was established in early in 1984. We also provide training to university and community college students who are interested in mental health.
